Inferno did nothing until nearly the end of Elden Ring Runes the battle. Then, after summoning the Raya Lucaria Soldiers, a spirit ash you discover inside the Road's End Catacombs that calls forth three warriors Inferno was seated and watched the fight like an anime boss waiting for a fight to end before he took on the rival. Inferno suffered one blow but since their health was large, it didn't result in a fatal blow. After The Raya Lucaria Soldiers were dispatched, after almost killing The Tree Sentinel by themselves, Inferno was able to clear up shop with a quick string of spear slashes. It was hilarious and thrilling to watch.
Many people didn't realize that Inferno's video was actually a joke. Because they had written "Game is difficult" within the clip the internet was confused by the idea that Elden Ring isn't as hard as it's actually. (It is!) A few were mocking Inferno for beating an "beginner boss." Others offered their methods for defeating The Tree Sentinel, most of that involved increasing their level. That's the most likely explanation for how those soldiers were able to take on the boss too.
I love cheesing enemies like this and FromSoftware appears to promote this with the ability to summon both spirit ashes as well as real-world players in the game. I tried something similar while playing against with the Tree Sentinel, calling upon my ghostly wolves as well as receiving help from Elden Ring Runes a wizard-based warrior. We totally destroyed him, but it wasn't anything so easy as Inferno's approach. The people are becoming skilled at Elden Ring, killing enemies with fashion. I, on the other hand will likely never make the credits.
