I'm close to 60 hours playing Elden Ring and, frankly I have no clue as to what's happening story-wise. As with previous Souls game, this story FromSoftware was created with Elden Ring Runes Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin is a jumble of proper nouns as well as vague assertions. One thing I know, however, is that the boss known by the name General Radhan is perhaps the most memorable player in Souls. It could be that he is the most memorable Souls character ever created.
Okay,, be calm. It's a huge declaration! However, please don't pressure me all at once to push for a plethora of fan-favorite characters like Dark Souls pseudo-mascot Solaire of Astora or even Patches the world-spanning character that was featured in earlier FromSoftware games. Although they and other Souls characters are fantastic but General Radahn is over other characters, both literally and literally, due because of the manner in which Elden Ring mixes silly, emotional, and inspiring stories from his past and a unique boss fight which transforms the world of the game.
When you first encounter Radahn within Elden Ring, he's a tiny relic of the stunning demi-god commander who was the commander of wartime troops following the destruction of the title phenomenon. Radahn was once dragged down during combat by the half-sister of his Malenia the Severed. He was plagued by The Scarlet Rot, a sickness which turns victims into insanity-driven ghouls who have only one desire that is all-encompassing to eat all they see. So, now Radahn is a scavenger on the battlefield, strewn with corps back of a small animal (whose name is believed to be Leonard) and is waiting for the day that someone powerful enough will be able to cheap Elden Ring Runes end his suffering.
