FH6 Mechanics of Emotion Guide: Easy Weekly Challenge Tips from

  • The Mechanics of Emotion challenge in Forza Horizon 6 is a nice change of pace for players who prefer simple objectives over difficult racing events. If you're working toward more FH6 Credits, this weekly challenge can be completed fairly quickly because most requirements are based on basic driving activities rather than winning competitive races. The only important restriction is that every chapter revolves around the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C.

For anyone looking to manage their FH6 Credits efficiently, it's worth preparing the Alfa Romeo 4C before starting. You can get the car from the "Riley Up and Go" seasonal championship or buy it through the Autoshow. Once you have it, the challenge becomes a matter of following four simple objectives in order.

    Start With the Right Car

The 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C is required for the entire challenge. If you already own the car, select it from your garage before doing anything else.

There is no need to immediately install a powerful tune. The first two chapters are extremely easy, and you can decide later whether additional performance is necessary for the Speed Zone objective.

    Chapter One Is Almost Instant

The first chapter, called Emotion in Motion, simply asks you to own and drive the 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C.

Get into the car and drive around for a few seconds. The game should recognize the vehicle and mark the chapter as complete. There's no requirement to race, drift, jump, or reach a particular speed.

This is one of those objectives where players sometimes overthink the requirement. Just driving the car is enough.

    Complete One Drag Meet Run

The second chapter, Straight Line Speed, requires a completed run at any Drag Meet.

Use the world map to find one of the available Drag Meet locations. After arriving, start the event and make a single pass down the strip.

The result doesn't matter. You don't have to win, set a personal best, or beat another driver. The objective is simply to complete the run.

This is also a good time to avoid unnecessary tuning. Unless you want to improve the Alfa Romeo 4C's acceleration for fun, the stock setup should be sufficient to get through the objective.

Use a Road Circuit for Speed Skills

Peak Performance is the third chapter, and this is the only part where you may want to use a specific strategy.

You need four Speed Skills of any grade in Road Circuit Races. Start by filtering the map for Road Racing events and select a circuit with a long straight. Highway Circuit is a particularly useful option because you have enough room to accelerate.

Before starting, check the event settings. If the event defaults to a Trial, switch to a normal event. You can also create a Custom Race and set the AI driver count to zero. This removes much of the pressure and lets you concentrate on building speed.

Once you're on the track, accelerate beyond approximately 120 mph, or 193 km/h, to trigger a Speed Skill.

There is a convenient way to repeat the process. After earning a Speed Skill, activate Rewind and return to a point before the trigger. Accelerate through the same section again and see if the game registers another skill.

If you don't want to use the rewind technique, simply drive around the circuit and find additional opportunities. Four Speed Skills shouldn't take too long on a fast circuit.

Finish With Five Speed Zone Stars

The final objective, Built for Driving, requires five total Stars at Speed Zones.

The important word here is "total." You can collect the Stars across multiple attempts, so you don't need to achieve an impressive score in a single run.

Choose an easy Speed Zone with a relatively straight route. Run through it, check your result, and repeat the attempt until you've accumulated five Stars.

If you find that the 4C lacks enough speed for the zone you're using, consider installing a community S2 tune. Share code 344 665 611 has been suggested as one possible option for improving the car's performance, although custom tunes can change or disappear over time.

Once the five Stars have been collected, the challenge is finished. You can then return to normal racing, exploration, or other activities to continue expanding your collection of Forza Horizon 6 Cars.

The Mechanics of Emotion challenge is a good example of how a little knowledge can make a weekly objective much easier. Instead of trying to brute-force every requirement, use a straightforward Drag Meet for Chapter Two, a long straight for Speed Skills, and an accessible Speed Zone for the final chapter. This approach keeps the challenge quick and lets you get back to the rest of your FH6 activities.
