NJAMFT Board of Directors are looking forward to continuing efforts to support the many MFTs that will be serving those individuals, couples and families throughout the Great Garden State-New Jersey!
What this will immediately mean for those in MFT program graduates is that they can now apply to the NJ State Board of Marriage & Family Therapy Examiners for Associate Licensure as a Marriage & Family Therapist. Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapists will now have increased employment opportunities being on par with Professional Counselors and Social Workers!
More to come!

(MFTs) continued to contact me regarding the CANS and TCOM and how they can be
used as part of the private practice. I shared with them how I incorporate the
TCOM tools in my work with children/youth and families in my practice, and I
shared how treatment planning has been significantly more successful with their
use.
It is my sincere belief that both TCOM and its
associated tools should be brought directly to those who are serving in the

Principle VI of our Marriage and Family Therapist Code of Ethics reads:
Responsibility to the Profession
Marriage and family therapists respect the rights and responsibilities of professional colleagues and participate in activities that advance the goals of the profession.
There are many ways that we can creatively design a place for you to contribute to the growth of our profession. A professional association is after all, a group of individuals working together to develop, promote and sustain their mutual growth.
