I ­am origina­lly from L­ong Island­ New York.­ I attende­d Hofstra ­University­ on Long I­sland wher­e I was fi­rst introd­uced to th­e field of­ Marriage ­and Family­ Therapy. ­I complete­d my docto­ral work a­t Nova Sou­theastern ­University­ in Fort L­auderdale ­Florida.

    Dr. Paul Maione, professor of Marriage & Family Therapy and Clinical Director at Couples on The Brink is seeking a graduate/research assistant to collaborate on various academic writing projects in the field of MFT. Topics include: postmodern informed therapies, intensive couples therapy, and therapeutic assumptions, to name a few.

    Responsibilities include gathering research from academic journals to be integrated into literature reviews of various papers. Additionally, a familiarity with APA formatting is necessary and good writing and editing skills (Or a desire to improve them) are a plus. Interested learners must have knowledge and access to professional MFT and other counseling journals. Time requirement is approximately 2-4 hours per week.

  • Stacie Ciminelli Hi all, I am from Ohio and am just finishing my fourth course toward working for my MFT. I am super excited and passionate about this field. I currently work as a QIDP and I write programs and goals for 13 individuals with developmental disabilities. Under me I have two ICFMR residential homes where the individuals live. I have a bachelors in Psychology from Kent State University. I love my job, I have only been doing it about 3 going on 4 months now. I am excited to be starting the journey for my Masters.
